The area and getting here
How far is Villa del Sol Garden from the airport?
About 30 minutes by car from San Salvador International Airport (SAL), on the Costa del Sol near La Herradura.
How far is the beach?
The Pacific is about a 5-minute walk, across the road and a few houses. The Estero mangroves are around 15 minutes on foot.
Are there restaurants nearby?
A local market and pupuserias are minutes away, plus beach restaurants like Astra, Tortuga Village, La Ola Beto, and Tesoro Beach.
Is it a good place for solo women travelers?
Yes. Many solo women have stayed and felt safe and cared for, with a host and caretaker on site.
How do we get there from the airport?
A 30-minute drive along the Costa del Sol. We can arrange an airport pickup on request.
The rooms and the villa
What rooms are available?
Six garden rooms total across two levels: the four double rooms downstairs and two family suites upstairs. You can reserve a mix of rooms depending on the number of guests, with a discount for groups or longer stays.
Can a third person fit into a room?
The larger upstairs suites can add a bed for up to four guests. Downstairs suites are best for two.
Can we reserve the whole villa for a big group?
Yes. The Garden Collection is all six rooms, sleeping up to 16, from 425 US dollars per night for the first floor only (8 persons), 650 for both floors (16 persons), or 300 for the second floor only (8 persons). Ask about renting it out privately, depending on availability.
Is the pool or kitchen shared?
The garden pool and kitchen serve house guests. Book a single suite and you may share with other guests; book the Collection and the whole garden is yours.
What amenities are there?
A private pool, a yoga and art studio, an outdoor kitchen, hot water, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, local art, and musical instruments on site.

How much does it cost?
Rooms start from 115 US dollars per night and the whole garden from 425. Book direct with a best-price guarantee.
What is included, and what costs extra?
Coffee is included with every stay. Breakfast is included when booking 2 nights or more. Lunch, on-site massages, boat trips, fishing, and airport pickup are optional add-ons.
Can I host a retreat?
Yes. The villa is a retreat venue with a yoga and art studio, a sound sala, a chef, and a co-host. You lead; we host the ground.
Who is it for, and who is it not for?
It is for relaxation seekers, nature and bird lovers, solo travelers, couples, families, artists, and retreat organizers. It is not for party-goers.
Do you offer longer or monthly stays?
Yes, a monthly rate is available for longer stays. Just ask. We also offer a work/live trade discount for those interested in living and contributing to the community space here. Skills such as crafting, painting, gardening, carpentry, stone masonry, event planning, and more are welcome.
House and good to know
What are the house rules?
A wellness space of conscious community and intentional living: no heavy drinking or parties, music kept low, energy conserved, spaces kept clean, kindness and consideration towards others, and please do not flush toilet paper (a bin is provided).
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi throughout the villa.
What are the sounds like?
Birdsong and roosters, gentle local life including buses, and a school across the street. Peaceful, not silent.
What can I buy on site?
Local cacao, coffee, and artisanal mugs are for sale.
